Find out more about these guitars and their maker at Saner Cigar Box Guitars (sanercigarboxguitars.com)

The maker himself Mr. Saner has this to tell ya: "Handmade guitars made with ordinary power tools, out of local  wood that has been dry-aged for two years. Guitars and amps have some dings, nicks and flaw, but that it adds to their charm, and makes no two guitars alike. Once you hear the howl of a cigar box guitar you will never play a want to play a Gibson or Fender Again."

Frequently Asked Questions:

--Will my guitar look exactly like those in the photos?

Well, no--each guitar is handmade, and may have a slightly different appearance--however they all have the same general elements and appearance, and are all 100% quality instruments.

--How do I play/tune my cigar box guitar?

These guitars are all built to be tuned to GDG tuning, though any chord words. To tune to GDG (from a piano)--tune the low string to the G below middle-C, the high string to the G above middle-C (make sure that octave sounds good!), then tune the middle string to the D one whole-step above middle C. With a guitar tuner, just tune to GDG--be advised though, some tuners we've tested have had trouble getting to the Cigar Box sounding just right---you may have to use your ear! Also, let your ear get adjusted to the sound of the Cigar Box--it might sound out of tune to you at first because the tone is strange, but we guarantee all of these guitars can tune perfectly and will hold their tuning.

--Can I use my cigar box guitar with pedals?

Yes! You can do anything with a cigar box guitar you can do with a regular electric--keep in mind that there is only one pickup (just a gain--no tone) on these, but other than that, you can run it through any and all kinds of effects/loops/delays/compressors/overdrives/you name it. Enjoy the boogie!
